Join Sheila K Collins, PhD as she shares an intimate perspective on love, loss and healing. During this interactive heartwarming and surprisingly entertaining presentation attendees will learn Sheila’s poignant life story and be inspired by her progressive, artistic approach to coping with grief.

Bio – Sheila is a writer, dancer, social worker, therapist and improvisational artist and expert on grief and bereavement. Her journey accompanying her two adult children through illness, treatment, death and the rituals that helped the family to heal is described in her book, Warrior Mother: Fierce Love, Unbearable Loss and Rituals that Heal. Sheila currently directs InterPlay Pittsburgh and the Wing and a Prayer Pittsburgh Players, an InterPlay based performance troupe that assists art and human service agencies to accomplish their noble purposes in the Pittsburgh community.
