Interplay Workshop at ENOUGH Violence-Artist Speak Out

Join the improvisational troupe, Wing & A Prayer Pittsburgh Players Saturday, December 14, 2013 10 AM -12 PM, at Contemporary Craft’s international art show. The 48 works created by 14 artists will inspire our multigenerational group to access their own creativity, using Interplay’s movement, music, and story-telling forms to relate to this important theme.

[ See Schedule ]

The exhibit portrays three types of violence that have become too common in modern life – urban violence, child and domestic partner abuse, and matters of global war. During the InterPlay workshop, multigenerational participants will:
1) Learn several InterPlay forms to help them express their own creativity
2) Peruse the gallery noting their responses to the engaging images and art pieces exhibited there.
3) Use InterPlay forms to add their own stories and inspirations to the expressions crafted by the artists.

4)  Reflecting on their experience, participants will share their wisdom about the causes of violence, the process of using art to represent victims and their healing, suggestions for alternatives to violence, and actions to put an end to violence.
